So one of the guys who works at a tuning shop in Concord bought his daughter leather interior for her car. Her first name begins with M
Posting without further comment.
The seatbelts will be replaced soon, and the plastic is going to be sprayed this week, from what he told me

Was this the inspiration?

That actually makes it infinitely more palatable.

I'm sure his daughter will be "riding the Magnum" in no time at all. j/k...I really miss the Magnum, but I'm starting to like its replacement (Durango) even more.

If it was yellow, it would totally pass for the Golden Arches.

Per stereotypes, the exact M-name in question is hard to place. Slightly more country would be a Melanie or Missy or Melissa for sure, slightly more obviously uppercrust and maybe girly would be a Madison for sure, and “Mary” would suggest something more generic. Nope, sorry - my chick-name-stereotype-fu is outmatched here.

Also, her dad is an engine builder at a tuning shop that specializes in MOPAR “new hemi” cars.

What state is this shop in, and do you guys do tunes?

We’re in Charlotte, and we don’t tune. Strictly leather and sunroofs with the occasional DVD.

My money is totally on Madison. Although Madison would drive a 1 series. I'm not sure she'd be caught dead in a Magnum.

“Dad’s money has just bought me something swanky” said Madison to me as my absolute first impulse, pending further breakdown by type - not girly, and yet in some respects lowbrow-ish or even slightly generic as well. Steve’s answer of what her dad *does* might be an explanation how a Madison qua Madison might have a Magnum.

Sorry I misunderstood. I thought you worked at the shop that specializes in MOPARS.

Everyone knows you don't buy Magnums without a box of rubber bands to go with them. Duh.
